Transforming Lives: Jeremy Arnold's Inspiring Career Shift to Respiratory Therapy

Jeremy Arnold with wifeNeurodiagnostics and Respiratory Therapy Manager Jeremy Arnold, BSHA, RRT, never thought he would one day work in a hospital. More than 20 years ago, Jeremy was moving up the ladder in his construction career, but it all changed when he met a girl.

"Being the good boyfriend I was at the time, I helped her with a lot of studying, and over time, just got to know the medical field," Jeremy shared.

He went back to school and completed a four-year degree in just two years. He became a Respiratory Therapist in 2011 and took advantage of new opportunities, ultimately finding himself at the helm of his department.

"Healthcare is never a one-person show, and I would never be here if it wasn’t for the amazing teams I have gotten to work with. It takes a village to make you or your department successful. At the end of the day, when you work hard with your team and the overall experience for the patient is good and getting better, that's where it becomes truly rewarding," he said.

Now, Jeremy and his wife Kimberly, a dedicated Pediatric ICU Nurse, work at the same hospital, Dignity Health - St. Rose Siena in Henderson, Nevada. Jeremy also worked alongside Respiratory Therapist Oluchi Kangas, MBA, RRT, who is now one of USME’s Business Development Representatives. She left the hospital as a Respiratory Therapist Supervisor and joined USME to help bring better service to her hospital and others.

Jeremy’s positive and forward-looking attitude benefits his team and their patients, Oluchi said about her former coworker. “He always looks for new opportunities to make his department stronger, ultimately leading to better patient care and systems for his team.”
