“The quality was immediately apparent,” she recalls after struggling with competitors’ equipment. “I asked our leadership what I had to do to get these into my facility.”
Before USME, Jordan’s team faced constant challenges with outdated, unreliable equipment. “We transitioned from Agiliti to USME, and there was a lot of anxiety about the move, but everything could not have gone any smoother. It was about as perfect a process as it could have been. The mattresses that we were using were probably older than I am. They were a trainwreck; we would have to call just to have them put back together.”
The introduction of US Med-Equip’s equipment and ASAP Asset Management program brought a noticeable improvement in patient care thanks to the quick delivery. Jordan told us she has seen a decrease in their pressure injuries.
“When someone is dying, multiple organ systems start to fail. Your skin, being an organ system itself, will also fail, and we can help prevent that just by putting our patients on a specific surface. It’s a lot easier to have that at the forefront of my nurses’ minds when they know they can just make one call, and the mattress is there in ten minutes.”
Jordan’s story underscores the importance of quality equipment with advanced technology and supportive partnerships with urgent customer service. As she continues to lead her team, the collaboration with US Med-Equip gives her the confidence that their patients will receive the best care possible.
